The Destination Marketing Company (DMC) specialises in tourism, hotel and destination representation sales and marketing in the UK.

Our strategy and emphasis is to increase visibility for our clients, in consumer outlets, media, broadcasting, trade outlets, business houses, tour operators and on line travel companies.

Our strength and expertise lies in our ability to develop exceptional results orientated programs; consumer interfacing campaign (to a database of over 1 million) and results oriented marketing activity – from PR to online, whilst simultaneously managing travel trade activity.

The Directors of the company have a wealth of experience in all areas of the travel industry having owned and operated their own tour operators and agencies covering a wide spectrum of specialist areas that include hotel contracting, golf marketing, theme parks and the high profile Meetings Incentive, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) market.

Biographies of the Key Personnel

Fred Bickmore - Fred started outbound golf tour operating with Whole World Travel in 1988, sold the company to Ickenham Travel where he remained as Golf Director and oversaw the creation of Lets Go 2 Golf. With experience in both the inbound and outbound travel markets, Fred was a founding member of the International Association of Golf Operators (IAGTO).

Laurie Tilley – With 28 years of experience in travel that includes hotels, airlines, tour operating and theme parks, Laurie has held senior roles at British Airways
Holidays, contacting hotels worldwide and in 1992 he joined Walt Disney Parks & Resorts working on major accounts within the travel industry; he was part of the launch of four Disney theme parks and the Disney Cruise Line. In 2000 he set up his own USA specialist tour operator, which was sold in 2003.

Jack Brown - Graduated from Kent University with a BA in Classical History and Archaeology. Since joining the travel industry he has been involved in a number of projects for both South Carolina and the golf world, and is always looking to expand and learn within the trade.
